TREE HUGGERS COMEDY

The brainsapling of creators Brad Einstein and Kyle Niemer, Tree Huggers Comedy melds stunning visuals, unexpected humor, and the odd person in an animal costume to create nature documentaries that are a little John Muir, a little John Oliver, and a little John Cougar Mellencamp (provided he was an actual cougar). Through their explorations of America’s wild wonders and the issues facing them, they have been named 2x National Park Service Artists-in-residence, USDA Forest Service “Voices of the Wilderness”, and have helped secure funding for the first-ever educational signage at the Pando Clone Forest, the largest organism on earth. Their work has been featured in The Salt Lake Tribune, Outside Online, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, The Atlantic, and more.

BRAD EINSTEIN

Comedian and writer Brad Einstein is a two-time National Park Service Artist-In-Residence, a National Forest Service Voice of the Wilderness, and a "Brilliant Comedy Mastermind" according to some very kind exaggerators at Time Out New York. He is the writer of The Climate Variety Show hosted by Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Jason Sudeikis, and his work has been featured in The LA Times, Rolling Stone, Atlas Obscura, Vanity Fair, Outside Magazine, and more. Brad is a Webby Award-winning producer and filmmaker, winner of the 2022 Climate Comedy Cohort, and a 2026 Yes And Laughter Lab Fellow. He has created campaigns and live events for clients including Netflix, Patagonia, The Aspen Ideas and Tribeca Film Festivals, and more. Past credits include The Onion, Billy on the Street, Shameless, and the Second City Touring Company.

KYLE NIEMER

Kyle Niemer is a Chicago-based Director and Producer specializing in outdoor, environmental and automotive media. He is a 2026 YALL Fellow, a 2x National Parks Artist-in-Residence, a National Forest Service Voice of the Wilderness, and a 2022 Climate Comedy Cohort Grant Recipient. His works has been featured in Huffington Post, MSMBC, NPR, Outside Magazine and Motor Trend. Kyle is a Webby, Telly, and Davy award-winning director of commercial campaigns, working with noted brands like VICE, Sonic, Amazon, Netflix, Kraft, HotWheels, and LEXUS. His narrative film work has won awards at numerous festivals, including Front Range, My Name is Climate, Golden Tree and Destination Unknown Festivals; most recently winning Best Director for Tree Huggers Comedy series,The Electric Caravan.

The glaciers of Glacier National Park are projected to melt by the end of the decade, so we’re sending them off in style with their new hour-long comedy-nature documentary, FUNERAL FOR A GLACIER.

Shot on location and utilizing a unique blend of stunning visuals, expert interviews, and original sketches, songs, and puppetry (a style its creators lovingly refer to as “Not Geo”), FUNERAL FOR A GLACIER offers a madcap exploration of the wonders of our wild spaces — and the responsibility we share to protect them.
